Colman Hands is the Sustainable Energy Programmes Manager at the Al-Attiyah Foundation for Energy and Sustainable Development, based in Doha, Qatar. Since joining the Foundation in 2016, he has overseen all Sustainable Development Programmes, including the production of conferences, forums, policy recommendations, and research papers on sustainable energy.
In addition to his role at the Foundation, Colman serves as Co-Chair of the ICC Qatar Environment & Energy Commission, where he guides policy development on global environmental issues and engages with international organizations and United Nations bodies.
He has also recently begun a consultancy with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), supporting the UNDP Sustainable Energy Hub. This global initiative advances a just, inclusive, and sustainable energy transition, expanding access to clean, reliable, and affordable energy while accelerating progress toward net zero. In this role, Colman contributes to translating bold climate ambitions into practical action for people and planet.

Dr.-Ing. Mohd Zamri Che Wanik is a Power & Renewable Systems Engineering Specialist with 23 years of professional experience. His expertise spans R&D, consultancy, pilots, and demonstration projects in Solar PV, Wind, Hydrogen Fuel Cells, Microturbines, Hydro, Biomass, Electric Vehicles, and Energy Storage. He has also worked extensively on renewable hydrogen production, storage, and thermal cooling. He earned his BSc (Evansville, USA), MEngSc (Curtin, Australia), and Doktor der Ingenieurwissenschaften (PhD equivalent, Duisburg-Essen, Germany) in Electrical Power Systems. His career began at SONY (1997) before joining National University of Malaysia (2000–2016), where he taught and supervised research. From 2011–2016, he collaborated with Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), contributing to Malaysia’s Grid Code amendments, PV interconnection guidelines, EV charging infrastructure, and microgrid demonstrations. Dr. Marwa Al-Ansary is a visionary global executive with 25 years of expertise in energy technology and innovation, net-zero and ESG strategy, and carbon market development. She currently serves as Executive Director of the Sustainable Carbon Group and as a UNESCO Expert in sustainability and climate technology. She is also the Chairperson of the International Chamber of Commerce–Qatar Carbon Markets & Emissions Reduction Working Group. For the past two decades, she has held various senior leadership roles at Shell, where she focused on developing net-zero technologies such as SAF, Smart Grids, Hydrogen, CCUS and Direct Air Capture. She played a key role in shaping regional carbon and circularity strategies and negotiating ESG conditions for major energy projects. Dr. Al-Ansary is the author of numerous publications and patents. She has led major international teams, negotiated multimillion-dollar IP agreements, and advised governments, industries, and NGOs across several countries, including Australia, Egypt, India, the Netherlands, Qatar, the UK, and the USA. She is a founder and board member of multiple global energy innovation centres. In these roles, she actively drives collaboration to develop and implement impactful climate solutions. She holds a PhD in Geoenvironmental Engineering from the University of Cambridge, an MSc and BSc in Construction and Civil Engineering from the American University in Cairo, and an MSc in Environmental Science from the University of Strathclyde.

A specialist in photovoltaics (PV), Dr. Kivambe has over 19 years of research experience across the PV value chain. His current research work focuses on the performance and reliability of PV cells, modules, and systems, addressing challenges of operation in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. His expertise includes PV materials, solar cell development, and both field and accelerated testing. Dr. Kivambe holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering and an M.Sc in Condensed Matter Physics and Biophysics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Norway. He previously worked as a postdoctoral associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), developing low-cost, high performance solar cells.

Kamalakannan Jayachandran is a seasoned renewable energy professional with over 13 years of experience in the solar industry, contributing to more than 10 GW of PV projects across the region. As Operations Manager at Gulf Renewable Energy Laboratory, he leads PV inspection, testing, certification, and performance evaluation activities, ensuring full compliance with IEC, SASO, and UL standards. He played a key role in establishing the PV laboratory and developing systematic procedures for module type testing, onsite EL inspections, thermography, and large-scale performance assessments. He also oversees ISO/IEC 17025 technical accreditation and supports OEMs, developers, and EPCs with warranty claims, failure investigations, PR analysis, and root-cause evaluations.
